July Trip 2018: California (and Sydney) Dreaming

This trip had it all. It started with the Bali volcano going off and stranding 2 guests on the day of departure (don’t worry we got them to the boat). Then small swell. Onshores/cross shores/off shores. Light winds and strong winds. Before it all came together for some beautiful days of waves at the end. This trip is what it's all about, a bunch of mates, on a boat, many of them first timers on a boat and to Indo, getting to hang out and experience a true Indo boat trip. Thanks to the Californian and Sydney boys for a great trip and special thanks to Luke and Chris for the photos.

May Trip 2018: Waves and Fish

It happens sometimes you know. You get waves and then it tapers off. Even in Indo, Huey the surf god can't always provide swell for a whole trip. So what do you do? How about drink beers, fish, hang out with your mates and have a good time anyway. That’s what Shane Conwell’s boys did on their trip. And maybe just maybe, there was a rumour that when it did go flat, they cut the trip short by one night and headed back to Jakarta for a big night out….

April Trip 2018: Buz is Back

One of Just Dreaming’s favorite guests Buz was back for the first of his two trips in 2018. And as the boys will tell you Buz always brings the waves so even though it was still only April, it seemed to come as no surprise that we motored into the bay on Day 1 to be greeted by 6ft One Palm. Lee, Brent and Kadu were straight into it while the rest of us sat back and watched the show. Highlights included Kadu's big set wave, Brent launching his lid into anything that moved and Lee “barrel” Limond getting more barrels than we could count including one “Timmy Turner” wave all the way through the moguls and into the inside bay. After that shot of adrenaline, we pulled anchor and surfed Napalms for the midday session. Followed by a short trip over the other side of the bay to surf Illusions in the arvo. Not a bad Day 1 huh?! That set the scene for the rest of the trip with waves every day, both lefts and rights and barrels and smiles all round.
